Aspiringteachers.org is an online professional development platform that is available for all teacher assistants, education assistants, aspiring educators, learnerships students and new teachers.
It not only supports aspiring teachers to get ready to be a teacher, but also provides skills, knowledge and helpful tips to get a job. It also enhances newly qualified teachers and those aspiring to be teachers to gain training and development to be better equipped to do the job.
This is achieved in their own time, at their own pace, in a cost effective way
Aspiring teachers membership
Users are able to purchase a membership to aspiring teachers. This membership gives you access to ALL of the courses on the site for a one year period.
Aspiring teachers are currently running a 90% off special. Normally R1800, currently R180.

If you forgot your password, visit www.aspiringteachers.org and click the Lost your Password? link located just below the Username and Password fields on the Login screen. Next, enter your username or email address and click Enter.
An email containing your password reset instructions should arrive in your inbox shortly. Go to your email address and follow the instructions in the email to reset your password. If you don’t see an email in your inbox, check your Junk and Spam folders just in case.

They promote and develop quality and sustainable education and take creative, effective, and innovative business practices and apply them to education.

Go to www.aspiringteacher.org and click on the register tab. Fill in your details. Follow the link to make the payment. Once payment has been made, you will have access to all of the courses on the site. (Please make sure that you fill in your NAME and SURNAME in the USERNAME field when you register as this is what will appear on your CERTIFICATE.)
You can take as long as you like. There is no time limit on completing your courses and the site will save the information where you left off from your last session. You can do a course over a couple of days. Your registration to the site last for a year, so you can visit the site as many times as you would like for that year.
COURSE QUESTIONS
Yes. You are able to complete the courses in your own time at your own pace and on any laptop and mobile device.
Course are self paced and include videos, downloadable pdf’s and images and quizzes. The quizzes are short sets of questions to check your understanding.
Most of the courses can be completed within 1 hour of starting. This will all depend on each individual person and the speed at which they grasp the content.
You can chose which courses you would like to complete and there is no required order. However, some courses make sense to complete before another one.
CERTIFICATE QUESTIONS
Upon completion of a course, you will receive a certificate of completion. You can download this directly from the site in pdf version and store it for your records.

No, certificates are issued automatically on the site. They will not be emailed directly to you, but can be accessed under your profile on the site.
To get your certificate click on the download certificate button after the quiz OR go to you drop down menu and click on certificates and it will give you the option to download these.
Issuing of certificates is automated and the system will use the name and surname that you registered with. If this information is incorrect, you need to go to ‘My Profile’ and change the information. This should correct the name and surname on your certificate.
The issuing of certificates is automated by the system. Your certificate will pop up in a separate tab on your computer or on your phone. Please ensure that your ‘popup blocker’ is not disabled on your device. This is a common security setting and needs to be disabled.
